According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. and involved a black Mini Cooper and a white Ford sedan. Paramedics transported an occupant of the Ford to a hospital, where the person was pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m.
Authorities have not released additional details about the victim or the cause of the crash.
