[09-16-2025] Riverside County, CA โ€“ Man Killed After Being Struck by SUV on East San Rafael Drive Just West of North Avenida Caballeros in Palm Springs

A 29-year-old man was killed after being struck by an SUV in Palm Springs on Tuesday night, September 16, 2025.

According to police, the crash was reported around 8:50 p.m. on East San Rafael Drive just west of North Avenida Caballeros.

Officers arrived to find the man in the roadway. Lifesaving measures were performed, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The coronerโ€™s office identified him as Raymond O. Jr. of Palm Desert.

Police reported that the SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol or drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
