Two women, ages 18 and 19, were critically injured after being struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter on the 11800 block of Pinon Avenue in Hesperia on Saturday evening, September 20, 2025.
According to authorities, the women were hit by a silver 2011 Kia Optima. San Bernardino County Fire personnel responded with two ambulances, and a medical helicopter was called to assist.
One woman was rushed to Desert Valley Hospital and later airlifted to an out-of-area trauma center due to critical injuries. The second woman was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Their current conditions have not been released.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Hesperia Station.
