[09-24-2025] Marin County, CA โ€“ Construction Worker Seriously Injured After Van Strikes Construction Truck on Highway 101 Near San Antonio Road in Novato

A construction worker was seriously injured after being struck by a van that collided with a construction truck in Novato on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:45 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near the San Antonio Road overcrossing.

The van, a Ford, sustained major damage, and the collision blocked the northbound lanes. CHP diverted traffic to the shoulder and called in a specialized investigative team to handle the major collision.

The conditions of both the construction worker and the van driver were not immediately available. Caltrans, which has been conducting overnight work in the area for the Marin-Sonoma Narrows project, referred inquiries to the CHP. Northbound lanes reopened by about 7:30 a.m., and the crash remains under investigation.
