[09-25-2025] Ventura County, CA โ€“ Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck on Southbound Highway 101 Near State Route 33

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on southbound Highway 101 near State Route 33 in Ventura late Thursday night, September 25, 2025.

According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Michael Untalan, officers responded just after 11:20 p.m. and found the man deceased in the fast lane.

The victim has not yet been identified. CHP suspects the man crossed from the right shoulder into the fast lane when he was struck.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The driver was not injured, and CHP does not believe alcohol or drugs were factors.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
